Moscow, August 12 – AIF-Moscow.

The US Embassy in Kiev is in solidarity with the position of Ukraine in connection with the recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Crimea.

This was stated on the diplomatic mission page on Twitter. Diplomats believe that this visit is "a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."

Will Ukraine pay us for Crimea?

“We, together with the people of Ukraine, are against the aggression of Russia,” the embassy said.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry protested in connection with the visit of Vladimir Putin to the Crimea on August 10. The ministry said that this visit was not agreed with Kiev.

Recall that on Saturday, the Russian president visited the peninsula. He came on a Ural motorcycle to the Shadow of Babylon bike show in Sevastopol. Putin also watched the performance on the new stage of the Tauride Chersonesos State Museum-Reserve.

Since 2014, Crimea has been part of Russia. This decision was made by the inhabitants of the peninsula in a referendum. However, Ukraine continues to consider this territory to be its own, despite the will of the people.
