Can the sale of Turkey's C-400 go sideways for Russia?
US President Donald Trump said that Washington is considering the possibility of imposing sanctions against Turkey for the purchase of Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.
According to Trump, the decision has not yet been made, according to RIA Novosti.
A few days ago, the American leader said that the United States currently does not consider sanctions against Ankara.
After the start of deliveries of Russian air defense systems to Turkey, the White House decided to exclude this country from the program of deliveries of the newest American F-35 fighter jets.
Moscow and Ankara concluded a contract for the supply of four C-400 divisions in the amount of $ 2.5 billion in 2017.
After that, the United States demanded that Turkey, which is a member of NATO, refuse Russian S-400, and threatened to cancel the sale of the F-35, but the Turkish leadership refused to make concessions.
