United States President Donald Trump intends to change the head of the National Intelligence United States Dan Coats, according to the publication Axios.

What are the chances for Donald Trump to remain a president for a second term?

It is expected that in place of Coates, the American leader intends to propose the candidacy of Republican Congressman John Ratcliffe, who has no experience in intelligence services.

It is known that Coates displeased Trump when he criticized his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview on NBC. Earlier, the head of the US National Intelligence also stated that North Korea would not give up its nuclear program, which is contrary to the line of the American president.

Earlier, Trump also stated that he considers the office of the Director of National Intelligence as an extra bureaucratic layer.

According to the publication, at the time Ratcliffe was among the candidates for the post of Prosecutor General, but later Trump opted for William Barre.

Note that earlier Daniel Coates also said that Russia is coping with the sanctions imposed against it.
