Moscow, August 16 – AIF-Moscow.
US President Donald Trump believes that the trade war with China will be short enough and will not lead to an economic recession, reports TASS.
“I think that the longer the trade war goes on, the weaker China becomes, and the stronger we become,” the American head stressed.
Earlier, trump said that from September 1, Washington will introduce new duties in the amount of 10% on goods from China worth $ 300 billion.
In July and September last year, the United States and China introduced mutual increased customs duties on certain goods. In December, at the G20 summit in Argentina, the leaders of the two countries decided to conclude a “truce” in a trade war.
In early July this year, the parties resumed consultations on the settlement of a trade dispute.
