The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko promised to open a criminal case for showing a new film by Oliver Stone in Ukraine, Lutsenko said in his video message on Facebook.

Picture announced the channel "112 Ukraine".

"For any attempts past – teleconference and future – the demonstration of the Russian-Ukrainian film, which is advertised on the channel Medvedchuk, will be responsible," – said Lutsenko.

The Ukrainian prosecutor added that the decision to initiate the case will be made "in order to protect the interests of the state."

The TV channel "112 Ukraine" on July 2 announced the premiere of the film "In the Fight for Ukraine" by American director Oliver Stone.

On July 6, a picture was shown at the Taormina Film Festival.

Earlier it was reported that Channel One on July 19 at 21:00 will show a new documentary by the American director Oliver Stone “In the Fight for Ukraine”, which will include his next interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
