American rock musician Iggy Pop will receive a Grammy Award in 2020 for his contribution to the recording industry, NME writes.
Also receiving the award will be folk singer John Pryne, soul singer Roberta Flack, composer Rosetta Tarp, musician Isaac Haze, hip-hop band Public Enemy and rock band Chicago. The awards ceremony will be held in California next spring.
The 72-year-old Iggy Pop recently released his new solo album, which includes ten tracks. It’s his 18th solo album. The musician is called the “godfather” of punk rock.
Earlier it was reported that the rock band Queen presented a music video for a Christmas song. It’s called Thank God it’s Christmas.
