Moscow, July 22 – AIF-Moscow.
Director of the Agency for Strategic Communications Oleg Bondarenko said that with the holding of parliamentary elections in Ukraine for the first time in the last decades, “nullification of elites” took place, RIA Novosti reports.
"Relax early." Will the new Parliament of Ukraine establish relations with the Russian Federation?
According to the expert, the president of the country, Vladimir Zelensky, achieved his goal – there is not a single member of the Ukrainian parliament on the lists of the winning party “The Servant of the People”.
At the same time, Bondarenko explained that nothing was known about the qualities and abilities of the newly elected parliamentarians, and compared the deputies of the “Servant of the People” party to “the cats in the bag.”
“If Zelensky remains a cat in a bag for his electorate who elected him, then these deputies can be a cat in a bag for Zelensky himself,” the expert concluded.
Speaking about the “nulling of the elites”, Bondarenko stressed that it affected both ultranationalist parties and those political forces that had existed in the country since the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych.
According to the expert, in the last elections to the Ukrainian parliament, the “party of war” was defeated.
“That whole flair and the huge neo-Nazi hysteria that swept over Ukraine finally fell asleep,” the expert added.
The early elections to the Verkhovna Rada were held on July 21. The CEC of Ukraine declared them valid.
According to preliminary data of the Ukrainian Central Election Commission, Zelensky’s “Servant of the People” party became the leader of the vote (42.44% of the voters supported it). In the second place was the Opposition Platform – for Life, by Yuriy Boyko (12.87% of the vote). The party of the former Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko European European Solidarity closes the top three (8.65%). In the fourth position – the All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivshchyna” of Yulia Tymoshenko (8.02%), the fifth place was taken by the “Voice” party of the leader of the “Okean Elzy” group Svyatoslav Vakarchuk (6.39%). The sixth place in the list is taken by the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko (3.79%). Recall that for the passage to the Verkhovna Rada of the party it is necessary to overcome the 5% barrier.
The final results of the parliamentary elections will be announced no later than August 5.
