Foreign Ministry Spokesman Gen Shuang believes that the United States should, first of all, focus on its own international obligations and their implementation, rather than teaching others what and how they should do. About this writes RIA Novosti.

“Things can get hot.” Expert on the US missile ultimatum

Earlier, the US State Department published a new report on the implementation of its obligations under various agreements on arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament.

Shuang added that the United States does not have the right to talk about fulfilling obligations, as they themselves are constantly changing their opinions and strategies. “The United States withdrew from the JCPOA on the Iranian nuclear program, withdrew from the INF Treaty, which was opposed by the international community. The US must first pay attention to its own commitments and focus on their implementation, and not teach others, ”he said.

The Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty was signed in 1996, but some countries, including the United States and China, have not yet ratified it, but Russia did so in 2000. At the same time, the states possessing nuclear weapons have undertaken voluntary obligations not to conduct tests.

Earlier, Russia expressed its concerns about an uncontrolled arms race after the United States withdrew from the INF Treaty.
