The tiny town of Omena in the United States has elected a four-legged mayor for a ten-year tradition.
A cat named Sweet Tart (Sweet Pie) won the mayoral election in the small town of Omena in Michigan, USA. For more than 10 years, elections are conducted by a local historical society that publishes photos and programs of candidates on its website and collects 1 dollar for each vote in its fund. This year, the fund scored a record amount – more than $ 7,000. In the record of the newly-minted mayor there were two posts: “From 2012 to 2015 – the city council of Omena, from 2015 to 2018 – Vice-Mayor of Omena.” The program claimed that the cat has a rich management experience: over the home, she has achieved complete control. It’s funny that no one lost at the mayoral election, so all animals were given seats in the city council. The dog became the vice-mayor, the goat – the press-secretary, well and the hen – the special assistant on the bird questions. “My Planet” talked about what other professions were mastered by workaholic cats.
