In the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, for the first time in 20 years, the Old-Savsky bridge was blocked for the whole day. The reason was the filming of the Russian-Serbian blockbuster "Balkan Frontier" directed by Andrei Volgin, where actors such as Ravshana Kurkova, Milos Bikovich and Gosha Kutsenko are playing. The filmmakers decided to recreate the events of the spring of 1999, when NATO forces bombed the capital of the European state – Yugoslavia for the first time after World War II. Then the people of Belgrade went to the bridges and squares of the city, covering themselves with NATO infrastructure facilities. People put on themselves images of targets, signaling to the international community: "we are goals."

"When I was 11 years old, I remember that my city bombed NATO," says the popular Serbian and already, and Russian actor Miloš Bikovich. – "There was a fear, but there was also a surprise that people sing and dance under bombs with posters on Belgrade bridges. We are such people – the Serbs, we are bombed, but we resist the songs, and we protect the bridges with bodies. " Today, Milos Bikovich, known to the mass spectator for the films "Sunstroke", "Duhless-2", "Ice", the TV series "Hotel Eleon" and others, not only performs one of the main roles in the heroic drama "Balkan frontier", but also is the producer of the film from the Serbian side. The legendary Goiko Mitić, the "chief Indian of the Soviet Union," remembers: from fear the the bombings, his mother lost her speech, and then, her heart stopped. The 78-year-old actor "Balkan Frontier" as his special mission. The world-famous director, actor and musician Emir Kusturica, who also played one of the roles in the film, lost the house even before the bombing during the Bosnian civil war. His father also could not survive it. Kusturica joined the actor’s ensemble of the film in tribute to his love for Russia. Almost 20 years after the bombing of Yugoslavia, the Staro-Savsky bridge is filled with hundreds of townspeople.

Under the songs of Neil Karaylich, who created music for Kusturica’s films, the grateful "extras" of the film "The Balkan Line" under the scorching sun again expressed its protest with banners and incendiary Balkan dances. In this shooting, the actor and producer of the film, Gosh Kutsenko took part. In the film, he plays the role of the commander of the Russian special group, which in 1999 took control of the Slatina airfield in Kosovo before the arrival of a battalion of Russian peacekeepers.

On June 12, 1999, our 200 paratroopers, in violation of NATO’s plans to single-handedly monitor the situation in the Balkans, made an unexpectedly daring 600-kilometer march from Bosnia to Kosovo. It’s about those events that the heroic drama "The Balkan Frontier" tells. In the film, Anton Pampushny, Ravshana Kurkova, Milena Radulovic, Alexander Sreckovic and other popular Russian and Serbian actors are shot. The picture will be released in a wide rental in early 2019.
