From April 24 to May 1, 2018 in Omsk will be held IV International Violin Competition named after outstanding Russian violinist and pedagogue, Professor, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Yury Yankelevich Solzhenitsyn.
The contest was founded in 2009 in Omsk, the birthplace of the musician, on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The most famous pupil Yu.I. Yankelevich, People’s Artist of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov.
The competition attracts young violinists from various countries – China, the United States, Kazakhstan, Spain, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, Canada and many others.

The members of the jury are musicians of world renown. This year, they have become Amoyyal Pierre (France), Elisabetta Garrett (Italy), Sergey Dogadin (Russia), Boris Kushnir (Russia-Austria), Alexander Muralov (Russia) and Vladimir Spivakov (Russia).
Among the participants of the IV International Violin Competition named after Yuri Yankelevich – laureates of the International Television Competition for Young Musicians “The Nutcracker”.
In the older age group – the “Golden Nutcracker 2013” Polina Senatulova in junior – “Bronze Nutcracker 2014” Margarita Gladyshev and winners of the competition Vyacheslav Ermolaev, Daria Manza, Sophia and Maria Koltakova Abdykaeva (Kazakhstan).
