In addition, the collective actively performs the music of Chinese composers. In 2002, the first world tour of the orchestra took place, during which 22 concerts were given. In subsequent years, musicians repeatedly toured in Europe and the US.

In 2009, the British magazine Gramophone included the group in the top ten “most inspiring orchestras of the world” along with the Berlin and London Philharmonic Orchestras.

The performance of the Chinese Philharmonic Orchestra will finish the season 2017/18 of the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theater.
