If you claim leadership positions in your genre and release albums every 6 years, you can not make mistakes. You can not load the release with a dozen passing songs and add a tool version of one of the ballads to the end.

With all the amendments to the age, the slow and reluctant development of the genre and, apparently, the group’s reluctance to make new music, the album Stars and Crosses is a big failure. It does not have a vivid conflict, no musical epic. It’s worth paying attention to the title track (although it primarily leaves the text of Pushkina) and the Kosovo box covering the album (although this is not a novelty for a long time, and in the context of the new album it too reminded the Ballad of the ancient Russian warrior from the Aryan Hero of Asphalt).

Since the release of Foo Fighters’ latest album, a lot of interesting things have happened in the band’s life: the fracture of Dave Grohl’s leg with the subsequent sitting on the throne during the show, and the invitation to Cesena from Rockin’1000, and the jokes that scared all fans about the band’s disintegration, vacation. And suddenly, four years later, quite unexpectedly, we see on our screens the noticeably “old” Grohl and the company in a funny video for the song-call Run, a couple of months later – a touching movie with Dave’s daughters in a small forest house and stars (The Sky Is a Neigborhood). And between the case Foo Fighters continue their summer tour of Europe, continually playing new songs at concerts. A red thread through this whole kaleidoscope of events is either a rumor, or a mystery about a certain pop star of world magnitude, who recorded a “very heavy track” with the band. You and I have only two weeks left to collect all the pieces of the puzzle piece and prepare for the long-awaited listening: the ninth studio album Foo Fighters Concrete and Gold will be released on September 15th.
