    RUSSIAN ARTISTS. Arkhipov Abram Efimovich (1862-1930)

    Artist Arkhipov A.E. Abram Efimovich Arkhipov was born in the Ryazan region on August 15, 1862. From the very childhood, he began to show interest in painting. The first lessons the boy received from local and visiting icon painters. Systematic art education Arkhipov received in the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Here he studied from 1877 to 1883 and from 1886 to 1888. Teachers at Arkhipov were V.E. Makovsky, A.K. Savrasov, I.M. Pryanishnikov, V.D. Polenov, V.G. Perov.
